“Telangana Sisters Smash Nail Bed & Stone-Breaking Record in Just 3 Minutes 10 Seconds”

The challenge taken by both the sisters involved lying on a bed consisting 1,827 nails and allowing breaking of 60 shabad stones on their abdomen in 5 minutes.

But the record was accomplished in 3 minutes 10 seconds. This record is being entered in Limca book of records, Wonder book of records and Vishwam Book of World Records. The record is calculated according to the age of Telangana state which is 5 years consisting of 60 months which equals 1,827 days. It was witnessed by Bingi Narendar Goud, the coordinator of Wonder Book of Records, and S Arun Kumar, coordinator of Vishwam Book of Records. Retired IAS officer Rafath Ali, Dr Devika Rani, Sarmishta Devi, Kiran Kumar along with some black belt holders V Narsingh Rao, Karim, Subash and others were present.

In May 2019, siblings G. Amrutha Reddy and Gana Santoshini from Hyderabad, Telangana, prepared to set a new world record in karate.Their goal was to break 60 ‘Shabad’ stones on their chests within 5 minutes while lying down, commemorating the 5th anniversary of Telangana’s formation.This event was scheduled to take place at the GVR Karate Academy in Barkatpura, Hyderabad, with officials from various world record agencies in attendance.

The sisters have a history of remarkable achievements in martial arts.Gana Santoshini received the ‘Bala Surya’ award for multi-talents from the then Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy in 2012-2013.Her elder sister, Amrutha, previously broke 365 tiles on her forehead in 365 seconds to mark Telangana’s first anniversary, earning several world records.She also set a record by breaking 36 granite stones in 2.8 minutes on her chest while lying on a bed of 1,096 nails, celebrating Telangana’s third anniversary.

Their dedication to martial arts and their impressive feats have brought significant recognition to their family and the GVR Karate Academy.
