5-yr-old boy reads 20 books in an hour, enters India Book of Records

‘The Little Mermaid’, ‘Heidi’ and ‘Sly Fox and Red Hen’ are among the books read by the child prodigy.

A kindergarten student at the JSS International School also has a YouTube channel on reading books, called “Reading Room by Aayush”.

“Aayush gets calls from authors from around the world asking him to read their books on his channel. He loves to reads all books and he even reads newspaper. We have to buy him a lot of books. Last time we bought him a bundle of 40 books together. He is going through that quickly,” said the boy’s father, Supal K.G.

Aayush K. S., a five-year-old Indian boy residing in Dubai, achieved a remarkable feat by reading 20 storybooks consecutively in one hour without any breaks. This accomplishment earned him an appreciative entry in the India Book of Records under the title “Appreciation for reading story books for one hour without any break” at the age of five years and three months.

Aayush, originally from Kerala, is a kindergarten student at JSS International School in Dubai. His reading session included stories like “Goldilocks and the Three Bears,” “Sly Fox and Red Hen,” “Rapunzel,” “Heidi,” “The Little Mermaid,” and “Cinderella.” His achievement was confirmed in November 2020.

In addition to his record-setting accomplishment, Aayush runs a YouTube channel titled “Reading Room by Aayush,” where he shares his love for reading and encourages other children to develop similar interests. His father, Supal K. G., mentioned that authors from around the world have approached Aayush to read their books on his channel. Aayush’s passion for reading extends beyond storybooks; he even reads newspapers, necessitating frequent purchases of new reading materials to satisfy his voracious appetite for knowledge.
