Abhay Prabhavana Museum: India’s Largest “Museum of Ideas” on Jainism

Abhay Prabhavana Museum inaugurated on November 5, 2024, near Pune, Maharashtra, along the Indrayani River, the Abhay Prabhavana Museum stands as India’s largest museum dedicated to Jain philosophy and Indian heritage. Spanning 50 acres, it features 30 galleries with over 350 artworks, combining immersive, interactive installations, virtual reality, and advanced audio-visual technology to present complex spiritual and philosophical concepts in accessible ways.

Conceived by the Firodia Institute of Philosophy, Culture and History (FIPCH) under the Amar Prerana Trust, and guided by Dr. Abhay Firodia, the museum took nearly a decade and ₹400 crore to complete. It aims to present Jain values through a modern, scientific lens, fostering deeper understanding and cultural appreciation.

The inauguration was attended by leaders such as Nitin Gadkari and Jyotiraditya Scindia, emphasizing the museum’s national importance. Technological highlights include 35 projectors, 675 speakers, 230 LED displays, 8000 light fixtures, and a 650-ton cooling system. The museum offers a serene, enriching experience, blending tradition with innovation to inspire future generations.
