In a gesture that has captured hearts and headlines, a man from Kannur has redefined romance by gifting his wife not just flowers or jewelry, but two Guinness World Records—all within three months—just in time for her birthday.
Rajeev Nair, a 36-year-old fitness enthusiast and motivational speaker, set not one, but two world records, dedicating both to his wife, Anjali, as a symbol of his enduring love and admiration for her. The couple, married for over a decade, are being celebrated across Kerala and social media as symbols of love, determination, and creative expression.
The first record, achieved in January, was for the “Most Push-Ups with Claps in One Minute”, an explosive feat requiring precision, speed, and strength. The second, completed in March, was an artistic marvel: “Largest Hand-Painted Birthday Card,” which spanned over 150 square feet and contained heartfelt messages, illustrations, and memories of their journey together.
“I wanted to do something that would truly surprise her—something that wasn’t just grand, but meaningful,” said Rajeev, beaming with pride. “These records represent not just my love, but also the effort, time, and dedication she inspires in me every day.”
The couple celebrated the moment with a community gathering at a local school ground, where Rajeev unveiled the massive birthday card in front of friends, family, and curious onlookers. Officials from Guinness World Records confirmed both records and awarded him two separate certificates.
Residents of Kannur have rallied around the couple, calling Rajeev’s gesture a beautiful blend of ambition and affection. “In a world of fleeting attention spans, this is a reminder that love can still be powerful, personal, and poetic,” said local school principal S. Radhakrishnan, who attended the event.
Anjali, visibly moved during the ceremony, said, “This birthday is unforgettable—not because of the records, but because of the love and thoughtfulness behind them. I never imagined I would be at the heart of a Guinness World Record, let alone two!”
Rajeev plans to use his story to motivate young people, encouraging them to pursue both passion and purpose. He is now working on a short book titled “Record-Breaking Love”, blending fitness, creativity, and relationship advice.
As for future plans? Rajeev smiles and says, “I might need to start planning next year’s birthday now—it’s going to be hard to top this one!”
