World’s Largest Rotating Ear Of Corn

A quirky and iconic roadside landmark has earned the title of the world’s largest rotating ear of corn, delighting visitors and agricultural enthusiasts alike. Situated at the entrance to “In the Heart of Corn Country,” this giant corn sculpture proudly spins near Highway 141, symbolising both Iowa’s rich farming heritage and small‑town charm.

The enormous ear of corn standing about 10 feet tall slowly rotates on its base, making it a unique and memorable artistic attraction for travellers passing through the town. Its constant motion, combined with its bold size, has helped it claim recognition from world record trackers as the largest rotating corn sculpture anywhere.

Coon Rapids, known for its agricultural significance and historical ties to hybrid corn production, has embraced the oversized corn ear as a distinctive symbol of community identity and rural pride. Many drivers now make a point to stop and snap photos of the spinning cob alongside the American flag flying above.

Although modest in height compared to some world record attractions, the rotating ear of corn stands out for its motion and character a reminder that even a simple agricultural icon can become a celebrated landmark with a twist.
