World’s Largest Joker Memorabilia Collection

A 22-year-old comic book enthusiast from Indiana has earned a Guinness World Record for assembling the largest collection of memorabilia dedicated to Batman’s arch-nemesis, the Joker.

Megan Pierce, a lifelong fan of the iconic DC Comics villain, achieved the record with 2,318 officially licensed Joker-related items, ranging from comic books and action figures to rare collectibles such as Joker rollerblades, a skateboard, and vintage milk caps from 1966.

Pierce said her fascination with the Clown Prince of Crime began in middle school. Over the years, her hobby transformed into a full-fledged passion project that now fills an entire room in her Bloomington home.

“I had to provide a description of each item and a photo of everything,” Pierce told the Indiana Daily Student. “The process was long — every piece had to be measured, documented, and verified by five expert witnesses.”

Encouraged by online followers during the COVID-19 pandemic, Pierce began her official Guinness application in 2023. After months of cataloging, she was officially recognized for her record-breaking Joker collection earlier this year.

Beyond the recognition, Pierce says the experience has allowed her to connect with fans and collectors around the world — including Mark Hamill, the legendary voice actor behind the Joker in several animated series and video games. She’s also built a close friendship with Angel Young, who holds a vast collection of Harley Quinn memorabilia.

“Interacting with another collector that has such genuine passion for what they collect is one of the best feelings,” Young said. “It’s a sort of bond and understanding that this person gets what you’re doing.”

As for the future, Pierce says she has no plans to stop collecting — even if someone else eventually surpasses her.

“It will only inspire me to collect more,” she said with a laugh. “Go for it.”
