The United Arab Emirates has unveiled an exciting cultural initiative — ‘K-City’, a vibrant new hub designed to bring together the food, fashion, entertainment, and cultural experiences of South Korea under one roof. Located in Dubai’s Festival City Mall, the project marks a major milestone in strengthening cultural, tourism, and commercial ties between the UAE and South Korea.
Unlike its name suggests, K-City is not a standalone metropolitan development, but a specially curated cultural-commercial zone that brings the best of Korea to the Middle East. The concept aims to immerse visitors in Korean lifestyle trends, from iconic K-pop merchandise to the latest K-beauty innovations, traditional crafts, and interactive entertainment.
The highlight of the development is Korea360, the first major space to open as part of K-City. The venue is already drawing large crowds, offering a seamless blend of cultural exhibits, retail experiences, workshops, and food tastings. Visitors can explore Korean skincare products, designer apparel, tech brands, souvenirs, and an array of Hallyu-inspired items.
Food lovers are among the biggest beneficiaries of this new cultural hub. K-City features dedicated zones for authentic Korean cuisine, including tasting counters, immersive cooking experiences, and pop-up culinary events featuring everything from street-style tteokbokki to premium Korean BBQ.
Beyond shopping and dining, K-City hosts cultural programs, including language workshops, K-content screens, interactive zones, and community events that celebrate South Korea’s global influence in music, cinema, technology, and art.
Officials from both countries emphasize that the project is more than a retail attraction — it is a symbol of growing UAE–South Korea cooperation, opening doors for deeper collaboration in trade, tourism, culture, and innovation. With increasing interest in Korean culture across the Gulf region, K-City is poised to become one of the most popular lifestyle destinations in the UAE.
As K-culture continues to spread worldwide, the UAE’s K-City stands as a vibrant bridge between the Middle East and Korea, offering residents and tourists a chance to explore, taste, and experience the essence of Korea — all in one place.
