In a stunning demonstration of strength and endurance, six-year-old Ukrainian gymnast Regina Abramova has shattered a world record by performing 223 consecutive pullovers (pull-ups with a flip) on a horizontal bar, nearly tripling the previous benchmark.
The extraordinary feat, officially confirmed by the National Register of Records of Ukraine, establishes Abramova as the new world record holder for most pullover repetitions on a horizontal bar by a youngster. The previous record, set in 2017, stood at 88 repetitions.
The Rise of a Powerhouse
Regina, who trains at a youth sports school in Lviv, has quickly become a global phenomenon, with this being her fourth major record. Her achievements, which have garnered her the nickname “the little powerhouse,” include:
Longest Inverted Hang: Holding a straight inverted body position on gymnastic rings for an incredible 5 minutes and 52 seconds.
Youngest Climber: Becoming the youngest child to independently summit Ukraine’s highest peak, Mount Hoverla.
The young athlete reportedly trains for six to seven hours a day under the guidance of her coach, demonstrating a level of focus and discipline rarely seen in a child her age.
Her father shared that Regina draws inspiration from television host and grandmaster Dmitry Komarov, whose motto, “Never give up, believe in yourself,” drives her relentless pursuit of excellence.
Abramova’s world-class performance not only highlights her prodigious talent but also sends a powerful message of resilience and willpower to the world. She continues to train with the ultimate goal of becoming an Olympic champion.
