Former professional rugby player turned inspirational adventurer Ed Jackson is gearing up for an extraordinary feat — attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest distance a car can be pulled in 24 hours.
The 36-year-old, who previously played for Bath and Wasps, saw his sports career cut short in 2017 after a devastating spinal cord injury from a swimming pool accident left him paralyzed and told he would never walk again.
Defying all odds, Ed not only regained mobility but also redefined the limits of recovery. Since his injury, he has climbed Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), conquered a glacier in Iceland, and co-founded the Millimetres 2 Mountains foundation — all while inspiring thousands globally. His remarkable journey has even been captured in a documentary film.
Now, alongside friend Ross Stirling, Ed will undertake the “Car-pull Karaoke” challenge this Saturday — dragging a car while singing along, combining strength, stamina, and spirit — to raise funds for Millimetres 2 Mountains, which supports people facing life-altering adversity.
“This is about showing what’s possible with resilience, support, and purpose,” said Jackson, who continues to turn personal tragedy into powerful triumphs.
With determination in his heart and a charitable cause in mind, Ed Jackson is once again set to prove that limits truly exist only in the mind.
