On the occasion of Independence Day 2020, All India Skating Coaches came together to honor the relentless efforts of Corona Warriors across the nation by organizing a spectacular world record event. A total of 307 skaters from seven states—Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chennai, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra—performed a synchronized skating routine while strictly following COVID-19 safety guidelines, including wearing masks.
The event took place on 15th August 2020, starting at 5:00 pm and concluding at 6:00 pm, with participants skating simultaneously in their respective locations. For the first time, the entire event was adjudicated live and confirmed by all coaches through social media from their individual locations, ensuring transparency and authenticity.
This unique achievement has been officially recognized by World Records India, celebrating the unity, spirit, and resilience of India’s skating community in these challenging times while paying tribute to the country’s frontline heroes.
