Hemraj Viram Shah, born on 22nd March 1941 in Samkhiyali, Kutch, Gujarat, and currently residing in Mumbai, has etched his name in history as the youngest editor at the age of 36, launching the Gujarati daily newspaper “KUTCH SHAKTI” from Mumbai in January 1978 under RNI No. 31906/77.
Demonstrating unwavering commitment to journalism, Hemraj Shah has continued to serve as the editor of Kutch Shakti Annual for over 40 years, establishing a remarkable legacy of editorial excellence. His decades-long contribution to regional journalism and literature was officially recognized as a New World Record on 22nd March 2021 in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Beyond journalism, Hemraj Shah is a prolific author, having penned 15 books in Gujarati and edited an additional 25 works in both Gujarati and Marathi languages, showcasing his literary depth and dedication to the preservation of Indian regional literature.
