“Dubai’s Solar Power Giant Sets Guinness World Record at 700MW”

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park has made global headlines by setting a new Guinness World Record for the highest capacity single-operator concentrated solar power (CSP) plant, reaching an impressive 700 megawatts (MW).

This milestone was achieved within the fourth phase of the solar park, developed by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA). The project showcases Dubai’s commitment to renewable energy and sustainable development in line with its vision for a greener future.

At a ceremony held recently, HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of DEWA, proudly received the Guinness World Records certificate from the official adjudicator. The event was attended by DEWA officials and marked a significant achievement in the global solar energy sector.

The CSP project not only underscores Dubai’s leadership in clean energy innovation but also contributes significantly to reducing carbon emissions and supporting the UAE’s clean energy goals.
