Mahindra’s BE 6 Batman Edition SUV Sells Out in Record 135 Seconds

In a stunning display of consumer demand, Mahindra & Mahindra’s limited-edition BE 6 Batman Edition SUV sold out in a record-breaking 135 seconds after online bookings opened. All 999 units of the exclusive model were snapped up in a matter of minutes, underscoring the immense popularity of the cinematic collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products.

The rapid sell-out is particularly notable as Mahindra had initially planned a production run of just 300 units but increased the allocation to 999 due to an overwhelming pre-launch response. This extended batch was still insufficient to meet demand, leading to the historic sell-out time. The limited-edition SUV is a collector’s item on wheels, priced at ₹27.79 lakh (ex-showroom), a premium of about ₹90,000 over the standard top-spec BE 6 variant.

The Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition is based on the top-end ‘Pack Three’ trim of the BE 6 electric SUV and draws inspiration from Christopher Nolan’s acclaimed “The Dark Knight Trilogy.” It features a host of exclusive design elements and a custom aesthetic that appeals to both car enthusiasts and fans of the iconic superhero.

  • Exterior: The SUV is finished in a custom satin black paint, a visual nod to the Batmobile. It features gold-painted suspension and brake calipers, and the Bat emblem is strategically placed on the wheel hub caps, front quarter panels, and rear bumper. An “Infinity Roof” with the Dark Knight Trilogy emblem and a unique LED projection of the Bat emblem from the carpet lamps further enhance its unique character.
  • Interior: The cabin continues the superhero theme with a black and gold color palette. It features suede and leather upholstery with gold accents and a special plaque on the dashboard denoting the vehicle’s unique edition number. Even the ‘Boost’ button on the steering wheel has been replaced with the Bat emblem.
  • Performance: Underneath the special edition styling, the SUV is a modern EV with impressive performance. It is powered by a 79 kWh battery pack, offering an ARAI-certified range of 682 km. The electric motor delivers 286 hp and 380 Nm of torque, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a swift 6.7 seconds.

Deliveries for the highly sought-after model will commence on September 20, 2025, which coincides with International Batman Day. The overwhelming success of this limited-edition model has hinted at future collaborations, as Mahindra looks to continue its partnership with Warner Bros. and explore more such exclusive runs.
