Vietnam Unveils Southeast Asia’s Largest Wind-Solar Power Complex in Ninh Thuan

Vietnam has achieved a historic milestone in renewable energy with the Trung Nam Wind and Solar Power Plant Complex in Ninh Thuan province being officially recognized as the largest combined facility of its kind in the country and Southeast Asia.

The sprawling complex covers 900 hectares and integrates both wind and solar energy systems to generate an impressive total capacity. The wind power component consists of 45 towers with a combined capacity of 151.95 megawatts (MW). Additionally, a separate wind power plant section contributes 48 MW, while the massive solar power installation delivers 204 MW.

Together, the hybrid power complex stands as a model of efficient, sustainable energy production, significantly boosting Vietnam’s efforts toward green energy transition.

This groundbreaking project, confirmed on January 19, 2024, not only enhances Vietnam’s energy security but also positions Ninh Thuan as a leading hub for renewable energy in the region.
