Nagpur’s Mohan Rajgopal Iyer Builds Rare Amitabh Bachchan Memorabilia Collection

In a heartfelt tribute to India’s cinematic legend Amitabh Bachchan, Mohan Rajgopal Iyer from Nagpur, Maharashtra, has created one of the most unique personal collections of Amitabh Bachchan memorabilia in the country.

Over the past several years, Iyer, a devoted fan of the superstar, has painstakingly collected posters, film stills, magazines, autographs, audio cassettes, movie tickets, and even vintage advertisements featuring Bachchan — capturing nearly every phase of the actor’s six-decade-long career.

His curated collection, now running into the hundreds of rare items, spans from 1970s classics like Zanjeer and Deewaar to modern hits and even international appearances. It also includes several limited-edition collectibles and handwritten notes, making it a treasure trove for cinema historians and Big B admirers alike.

“This collection is my way of celebrating the man who has been an icon for generations. Every item is a memory, a moment of admiration,” says Iyer, who now dreams of setting up a dedicated fan museum or digital archive for public viewing.

Film enthusiasts and collectors have hailed Iyer’s effort as a true labour of love and a cultural preservation initiative. Talks are also underway for possible recognition by national record agencies for this fan-driven dedication.
