In a remarkable display of devotion and craftsmanship, Shri Batukbhai Vyas, a revered Shiv Kathakar from Dharampur, Valsad, Gujarat, has created history by organizing a world record event to unveil the largest Rudraksha Shivlingam ever constructed.
Standing at a towering 36 feet in height, with a diameter of 16 feet 3 inches and a base (yoni) diameter of 34 feet, the monumental Shivlingam is crafted using 3.6 million (36,00,000) natural, pure, and energized Rudraksha beads. These sacred beads were meticulously strung into a 141,975-foot-long mala, woven by a dedicated team of 56 volunteers over 78 days.
This spiritual and artistic marvel was inaugurated in a heartwarming ceremony by little girls, symbolizing purity and the future of India’s spiritual heritage, on February 18, 2025, at “Rudrakshadham” in Dulsad, District Valsad, Gujarat.
The event drew thousands of devotees, spiritual leaders, and dignitaries from across the nation, uniting people in reverence and awe. The Shivlingam is not only a symbol of Lord Shiva’s eternal energy but also a representation of unwavering community effort and spiritual devotion.
“This is not just a record, but a tribute to Lord Shiva and a message of collective strength, unity, and faith,” said Shri Batukbhai Vyas during the inauguration.
The Rudraksha Shivlingam has been officially recognized as a world record, adding Gujarat’s name to the global stage of spiritual achievements.
