In a landmark achievement for India’s professional community, Nandini Agrawal of Jaipur has become the world’s youngest female Chartered Accountant, clearing the rigorous CA Final examination at the age of 17 years and 2 months. Her feat was today officially recognized by Guinness World Records, which awarded her the title of “Youngest Female Chartered Accountant” at a ceremony in Delhi.
Nandini’s CA journey began when she topped her school’s commerce stream at just 15. She completed the CA Intermediate level at 16—becoming one of the youngest ever to do so—and then dedicated the next year to intensive preparation for the CA Finals. On March 28, 2025, she received her results: all four groups cleared on her first attempt with an aggregate score of 68%, a mark befitting her nickname, “The Calculator Kid.”
“We are immensely proud of Nandini’s discipline and dedication,” said ICAI President Meera Sharma, referring to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. “Her achievement sends a powerful message to young aspirants everywhere that age is no barrier when passion and perseverance come together.”
At the Guinness ceremony, adjudicator Simon Caldwell presented Nandini with her record certificate, noting, “We have verified her birth certificate, exam dates, and ICAI certification—this is a genuine world record achievement.” Nandini, dressed in traditional bandhgala, accepted the honor with characteristic poise, thanking her family and mentors.
Her parents, Dr. Anil and Sunita Agrawal, both educators, described Nandini’s study routine as “relentless but balanced,” emphasizing that she also made time for dance and reading. “She always believed numbers spoke their own language,” Sunita said, “and today the world has listened.”
Looking ahead, Nandini plans to join a Big Four accounting firm’s audit division later this year, with long‑term ambitions of setting up her own financial consultancy focused on helping women entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, she has been invited as a keynote speaker at the ICAI’s upcoming national convention in Mumbai this June.
At just seventeen, Nandini Agrawal is already reshaping expectations in the world of finance—proving that intellect, when combined with hard work, knows no age limits.
