Samsung has announced that it has set two new Guinness World Records through its India #WithGalaxy photography campaign, highlighting the growing influence of smartphone photography across the country.
According to the South Korean technology giant, the campaign secured the Guinness World Record for the largest online photo album of images taken using smartphones. The nationwide contest, launched in December, invited users from across India to submit photographs captured exclusively on Samsung Galaxy smartphones.
Participants shared images across a wide range of themes, including culture, everyday life, nature, and travel, offering a vivid visual representation of India through the lens of mobile photography.
Over 31,300 Entries Fuel Record-Breaking Feat
Samsung revealed that the India #WithGalaxy campaign received more than 31,300 photo submissions, underscoring the rapid adoption of smartphone cameras as a primary creative tool. The overwhelming response enabled Samsung to achieve the Guinness World Record for the largest online smartphone photo album, with Galaxy devices playing a central role in the record-setting achievement.
In a blog post released last week, the company noted that the campaign reflects India’s expanding mobile photography culture, where users increasingly rely on smartphones to capture and share moments instantly and creatively.
Samsung stated that the initiative was designed not only to celebrate photographic talent but also to showcase the advanced imaging capabilities of its Galaxy smartphone lineup. The recognition by Guinness World Records further reinforces the brand’s focus on innovation, creativity, and user engagement.
The success of the India #WithGalaxy campaign marks a significant milestone for Samsung in India and demonstrates how community-driven digital initiatives can achieve global recognition.
