Samsung India has officially entered the Guinness World Records with its nationwide photography initiative, ‘India #WithGalaxy’, celebrating the country’s rich cultural diversity through large-scale digital participation and artistic storytelling.
Conducted from December 30, 2025, to January 26, 2026, the campaign invited citizens across India to capture and share photographs of their surroundings using Samsung Galaxy S Series smartphones. The initiative received an impressive 31,331 submissions, reflecting everyday life, traditions, landscapes, and emotions from across the nation.
The campaign was led by acclaimed filmmaker Kabir Khan and supported by over 30 regional photographers, who helped document stories from diverse regions. The collected photographs were curated into a massive digital artwork, described as a visual mosaic of India, and organised under four themes:
- Faces of India
- Sights of India
- Spirit of India
- Colours of India
As a result of this large-scale participation, the campaign achieved two Guinness World Records:
- Largest smartphone photography competition
- Most contributions to an online photo-based artwork
Samsung’s Galaxy S Series, first launched in 2010, has long been recognised for its leadership in mobile imaging. This campaign highlighted the series’ advanced photography capabilities while empowering users to express their unique perspectives.
Commenting on the achievement, Raju Pullan, Senior Vice President, MX Business, Samsung India, said:
“The India #WithGalaxy campaign unites people and celebrates the essence of a nation. By setting two Guinness World Records, we have showcased the capabilities of the Galaxy S Series and amplified the voices of our consumers who celebrate India’s diversity, beauty, and spirit through their lenses.”
A formal recognition ceremony was held in the presence of Samsung India executives and an official Guinness World Records adjudicator, marking the successful validation of both records.
This landmark initiative underscores Samsung India’s commitment to innovation, community-driven storytelling, and cultural celebration, setting a new benchmark for digital engagement campaigns in the country.
