World’s Smallest Living Dog

In a delightful record that’s captured the attention of animal lovers around the globe, Guinness World Records has officially recognized the world’s smallest living dog — a tiny female Chihuahua named Pearl. Pearl stands at just 9.14 cm (3.59 inches) tall, making her shorter than a popsicle stick and officially the smallest dog alive today.

Pearl’s diminutive stature isn’t her only charm — she weighs just 553 grams (about 1.22 lb) and measures 12.7 cm (5.0 inches) in length, roughly the size of a dollar bill. Guinness confirmed her record after careful measurement, beating previous holders for the title of smallest dog.

Pearl is related to the late Miracle Milly, a Chihuahua who previously held the same Guinness record at 9.65 cm (3.8 inches) before her death in 2020. These tiny canine stars continue to amaze and inspire pet enthusiasts worldwide, showing that great personality — and world records — can come in the smallest of packages!
