Tiny Town Casey, Illinois Holds Most Guinness World Records

A tiny town with a population of just over 2,500 people has quietly become one of the most record‑breaking places on Earth, boasting more Guinness World Records than many major cities all thanks to a quirky local mission to build giant versions of everyday objects. Located in Clark and Cumberland counties, Casey has earned at least 12 official Guinness World Records for creating oversized structures that draw visitors from around the world.

What makes Casey truly remarkable is how a small rural community built its identity around these giant attractions, inspired by the motto “Big Things in a Small Town.” The town’s collection of colossal landmarks includes record holders such as the world’s largest wind chime, golf tee, rocking chair, wooden shoes, mailbox, truck key, barbershop pole, pitchfork, teeter‑totter, golf driver, gavel and swizzle spoon.

These oversized structures created primarily by local craftsman Jim Bolin and his crew help Casey stand out along Interstate 70, where travelers can spot these giants from afar and make a fun stop to explore the town’s unique attractions.

More than just a collection of quirky objects, Casey’s world record achievements have had a real impact on the community. They’ve boosted tourism, sparked local pride, and turned this little Midwestern town into an unexpected global destination for record‑seekers and curious visitors alike.
