Pune-based Rajpath Infra Private Limited has formally launched an ambitious attempt to set four Guinness World Records during the construction of a greenfield highway project in Sri Sathya Sai district of Andhra Pradesh. The initiative was inaugurated on Monday at Package-2 of the NH-544G highway section between Vanavolu and Vanakarakunta, drawing government officials and dignitaries to the event.
The launch ceremony was attended by former minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy, MLA Palle Sindhoora Reddy, R.K. Singh, Regional Officer of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), and Jagdish Kadam, CMD of Rajpath Infracon Private Limited, among others. Speakers highlighted the company’s record-breaking spirit and its ongoing goals in the national infrastructure landscape.
Addressing the gathering, Jagdish Kadam noted Rajpath Infra’s past achievements including entering the India Book of World Records by laying 39.691 km of bituminous concrete road in 24 hours and emphasized that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has been a strong supporter of the latest record efforts and is scheduled to preside over a national award presentation on January 12.
Among the targets for this latest attempt are constructing a continuously laid stretch of 52 km of road over seven days, achieving the longest road constructed in 24 hours, and using the highest volume of bituminous concrete in a single day — all part of an unprecedented push to secure multiple Guinness titles on one project. With more than 600 engineers and workers engaged in the effort, the project reflects a growing emphasis on high-speed, high-quality infrastructure delivery in India and highlights the role of private firms in advancing both engineering excellence and global recognition.
