Largest Karate Display Set in Chennai with 863 Martial Artists

Largest Karate Display, with 863 participants performing synchronized karate techniques at a single venue. The record setting event took place in Chennai, Tamil Nadu on 5 October 2025, organised by the World Karate Masters Association (WKMA).

Held at SIVET College, the spectacle brought together karate practitioners from across India, who executed continuous punches, kicks and blocks in flawless coordination for a sustained performance. An official Guinness adjudicator was present to verify the attempt, which later appeared on the Guinness World Records website.

The World Karate Masters Association founded in 2020 by Master S. Bala Murugan aims to promote karate education, self‑defence awareness and community well‑being through large‑scale events like this. The record not only highlights the discipline, unity and skill of the participants but also showcases India’s growing prominence in global martial arts.
