At just 17 years and 8 months old, Sophia Park has made legal history by becoming the youngest person ever to pass the California Bar Exam, breaking the record previously held by her own brother, Peter Park.
Sophia’s remarkable journey began when she started law school at the age of 13, simultaneously completing junior high and later graduating from Northwestern California University School of Law in 2024 years before most students finish high school.
Her older brother Peter, who passed the bar at 17 years and 11 months, held the record until Sophia bested it by three months, underscoring an extraordinary level of dedication and family achievement. Since passing the bar, Sophia has been working as a law clerk in the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office alongside her brother and is on track to be formally sworn in as a licensed attorney in March 2025 once she turns 18.
Their father noted that four years of consistent focus and hard work were key to Sophia’s success, a rare feat that most Americans spend decades striving for. With both siblings already serving in the legal field while still in their teens, the Park family story is an inspiring testament to early ambition, perseverance, and breaking records in the pursuit of professional excellence.
