KISNA Diamond Marathon Hits 57 Cities in Major World Record Attempt

KISNA Diamond and Gold Jewellery successfully concluded the 10th edition of the KISNA Diamond Marathon a synchronized running event held simultaneously across 57 Indian cities — an effort now registered as a Guinness World Record attempt for the “Most cities to coordinate the same 5 km race at the same time.”

Organised by KISNA Diamond and Gold Jewellery, part of the Hari Krishna Group, the marathon marked a milestone as the first nationwide sporting event conducted by a jewellery brand in India. Under the rallying theme “Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat,” the initiative aimed to promote fitness, cleanliness, and civic responsibility among citizens.

The marathon drew over 20,000 participants, with runners taking part of 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km categories across the participating cities. Start times were carefully coordinated nationwide to ensure the integrity of the Guinness World Record attempt. The event saw participation from several eminent personalities, including Member of Parliament Ujjwal Nikam, industry leaders like Kirit Bhansali (GJEPC) and Motilal Oswal, Rajeev Jalota and noted actor Manoj Joshi, alongside senior representatives from the gems and jewellery sector.

Proceeds from the marathon will benefit the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, aligning with national efforts to foster cleaner public spaces and healthier lifestyles. Commenting on the initiative, Ghanshyam Dholakia of the Hari Krishna Group highlighted the event as an expression of India’s united spirit and a showcase of collective commitment to wellness and social responsibility. With this remarkable cross‑country effort, KISNA has not only motivated thousands of runners but also strengthened the message of community engagement in support of national cleanliness and health goals.
