In a landmark move set to redefine the future of robotics in India, Techfest, IIT Bombay has announced the country’s first-ever International Humanoid Summit, scheduled to take place from December 22 to 24, 2025. Presented by Marsh McLennan and powered by IDFC First Bank, the event is poised to become a milestone in global technological collaboration and innovation.
The summit will feature live demonstrations of advanced humanoid robots from Austria, China, Hong Kong, and India, marking the first time such a diverse international lineup of next-generation humanoids will be showcased together on Indian soil. Engineers, researchers, industry leaders, and students will have the opportunity to observe cutting-edge robotics engineering up close, including developments in AI-driven mobility, human–robot interaction, autonomous decision-making, and industrial applications.
Organizers emphasize that the event aims to accelerate India’s role in global robotics research, bridging academic excellence with industry expertise. By bringing international innovators under one roof, IIT Bombay seeks to spark cross-border collaborations, inspire young technologists, and push the boundaries of how humanoid robots can contribute to society—from healthcare and service industries to education, disaster management, and assistive technology.
