Dhriti from Pune Paints a New World A Young Artist Redefining Ability, Creativity, and Inclusion

At an age when most 13-year-old girls are still discovering their hobbies, Dhriti, a young artist from Pune, is already inspiring the world with her colors, courage, and imagination.

Born with Down syndrome and a congenital heart condition, Dhriti grew up facing challenges that many never have to imagine. But instead of limiting her world, these experiences shaped her unique way of seeing it. Her brush and sketchbook became her language—each stroke telling stories of emotion, resilience, and quiet observation. Where others rush past details, Dhriti pauses, absorbs, and transforms them into powerful visual narratives.

In 2024, her extraordinary talent received global recognition when her artwork was showcased in a month-long solo exhibition at H&M, Berlin. Visitors from across the world connected deeply with her work, drawn to its honesty, depth, and distinctive perspective.

That international exposure opened another remarkable door. Dhriti went on to represent India at the Asia Pacific Down Syndrome Federation Conference in Malaysia, where she became a voice for neurodiversity and creative empowerment, proving that art can be a powerful medium for inclusion.

Her journey did not stop with exhibitions. Along with her mother, Dhriti co-founded “Tickle Your Art”, a platform designed to help neurodiverse artists turn their imagination into sustainable livelihoods. What began as a personal initiative has now grown into a movement advocating dignity, creativity, and opportunity for many others like her.

In 2025, Dhriti appeared on Shark Tank India, where she confidently presented art-inspired products and design ideas, winning hearts with both her creativity and clarity. The same year, her story resonated with thousands at the India Inclusion Summit, where she stood as a symbol of what inclusive ecosystems can achieve.

Her impact was formally recognized when she received the National Divyang Empowerment Award 2025 (Best Divyang Girl Child)—one of India’s highest honors for empowerment and excellence.

Today, Tickle Your Art is no longer just about paintings or products. It stands as a testament to the belief that talent needs no label, courage has no age, and imagination knows no boundaries.
