In one of the most inspiring sporting stories of the year, India’s Shruti Vora, a mother of two and a veteran equestrian rider, has etched her name into Asian sporting history by winning three silver medals at the 2025 FEI Asian Continental Equestrian Championships in Pattaya.
At 54 years old, when many believe life begins to slow down, Shruti Vora proved that passion, persistence, and discipline can defy every assumption. Her journey to the podium is a powerful reminder that age is no barrier to excellence — and that true champions emerge not from comfort, but from relentless dedication.
On 28 November 2025, Shruti and her 13-year-old gelding Magnanimous delivered a poised and technically brilliant performance that earned them silver in the Individual Dressage event, scoring an impressive 70.147%. Surrounded by Asia’s strongest riders, the pair stood tall, reflecting mastery, composure, and deep trust built over years of partnership.
This victory came on the heels of two other remarkable achievements:
Team Silver in Dressage earlier in the championship
Freestyle Silver, completing her historic triple podium finish
These medals were not just the result of competition-week excellence, but of years of meticulous preparation. Shruti trained under the guidance of Olympian Maj. Jitendarjit Singh “Jolly” Ahluwalia, and honed her skills with Helen Langehanenberg, Germany’s celebrated 2012 Olympic silver medallist — a collaboration that polished her technique and elevated her performance to world-class standards.
Her story is one of determination far beyond the stables — balancing motherhood, demanding training schedules, international commitments, and personal responsibilities. Through it all, she kept riding, kept learning, and kept believing.
As India celebrates her extraordinary achievement, Shruti Vora stands not only as a decorated athlete but also as a symbol of courage, resilience, and timeless passion.
A true champion. A true inspiration. Congratulations, Shruti!
