At a special ceremony, the Prime Minister released a ₹150 commemorative coin along with a dedicated postage stamp, honoring Patel’s monumental role in unifying India.
The commemorative coin carries iconic imagery representing Sardar Patel’s unparalleled contribution in integrating over 560 princely states post-independence. The postage stamp, designed with artistic precision, highlights his enduring legacy of national unity, strength, and leadership.
Speaking at the event, PM Modi emphasized that Sardar Patel’s vision continues to guide India’s progress. He noted that commemorating Patel is not just an act of remembrance but a reminder of the values of courage, determination, and national integration.
The launch ceremony saw participation from dignitaries, historians, and representatives from cultural institutions, reflecting the nationwide respect for the architect of modern India.
