In a groundbreaking display of devotion and craftsmanship, Shri Nitish Bhannare, a social enthusiast and devoted follower from Nagpur, Maharashtra, has created the World’s Longest Incense Stick (Dhupbatti) — setting a remarkable new world record recognized by World Records India.
The extraordinary incense stick, crafted to promote Indian tradition, culture, and spirituality, measured an astonishing 142 feet in length with a 9-inch circumference. What makes this achievement even more impressive is the use of 1400 kilograms of sacred and natural aromatic ingredients, including cow dung powder, charcoal powder, gum resin, bamboo, and essential oils.
The creation of the Dhupbatti was a meticulous and deeply devotional process. It involved careful mixing, handcrafting, shaping, drying, and preservation to maintain its structure and fragrance. After weeks of dedicated effort, the colossal incense stick was unveiled for public viewing during a special devotional event held on 7th November 2025 at Bhilgaon, Nagpur, Maharashtra
Devotees and visitors gathered in large numbers to witness this monumental creation, which stands as a powerful symbol of faith, unity, and spiritual heritage. The fragrance-filled atmosphere and the sheer scale of the Dhupbatti left an unforgettable impression on all attendees.
With this creation, Shri Nitish Bhannare has not only set a new world record but has also ignited a renewed appreciation for India’s cultural roots, proving that devotion, creativity, and tradition can come together to achieve extraordinary feats.
