Jade Henderson Smashes Pull-Up World Record with $\mathbf{733}$ Reps!

Australian athlete and police officer Jade Henderson has clinched the Guinness World Record for the Most Pull-Ups in One Hour (Female), completing an astonishing 733 repetitions to break a nine-year-old record. Her victory is a powerful testament to mental fortitude, especially after a serious training injury forced her to change her goal.

Henderson’s feat surpassed the previous record of $\mathbf{725}$ pull-ups, set by fellow Australian Eva Clarke in $\mathbf{2016}$. To achieve this, the $\mathbf{32}$-year-old averaged more than $\mathbf{12}$ pull-ups every minute for the entire $\mathbf{60}$ minutes.

Henderson, an accomplished CrossFit competitor, initially set her sights on the $\mathbf{24}$-hour pull-up record. However, during a grueling $\mathbf{12}$-hour training session where she completed $\mathbf{3,500}$ pull-ups, disaster struck: she suffered a partial tear of her bicep tendon and muscle.

  • Setback to Strategy: After a six-week recovery period, she strategically pivoted her focus to the one-hour challenge to reduce the risk of re-injury.
  • Mental Toughness: Her attempt was a painful endurance test. With just $\mathbf{20}$ minutes left, the skin on her hands began to tear. Henderson recalled, “My hands were already a mess and in pain, so I need to make it worth it. I am proud of myself for pushing through that pain and not stopping until the end.”

Henderson said her main motivation was “to see what my mind and body were physically capable of.” She hopes her record will inspire others to relentlessly pursue their goals, regardless of the setbacks they face.
