In a landmark achievement, a 17-year-old girl from Chandigarh has emerged as India’s top female Guinness World Record holder, earning nationwide recognition for her exceptional talent, discipline, and determination.
Riya Malhotra, a Class 12 student known for her relentless passion for pushing limits, has officially secured her ninth Guinness World Record—making her the highest record-holding Indian female to date.
Her latest feat, titled “Most Mirror-Image Sketches Drawn in One Hour,” was certified by Guinness World Records after she successfully created 127 symmetrical sketches in 60 minutes, surpassing the previous international benchmark. The challenge tested artistic precision, hand–eye coordination, and unwavering focus—all of which Riya displayed with remarkable excellence.
“Every record brought new challenges and new lessons. I want young girls across India to know that age is never a barrier when passion is strong,” Riya shared after receiving the official confirmation.
Riya’s record-breaking journey began when she was just 14. Over the years, she has set records across diverse categories, including fastest puzzle solving, memory recall challenges, rapid sketching, and endurance-based tasks—making her one of the country’s most versatile young achievers.
Her school, St. Mark’s Global Academy, celebrated her remarkable accomplishment with a special ceremony, describing her as a “true inspiration for India’s youth.” Local authorities, educators, and youth influencers have also praised her dedication and extraordinary achievements.
Her proud parents shared, “She represents the spirit of the new India—fearless, focused, and full of possibilities.”
With more ambitious world record attempts lined up for 2026, Riya aims to make her mark globally and hopes to mentor young aspirants who dream of creating history.
