marks a massive day for lottery enthusiasts across Kerala, as the state will simultaneously hold the much-anticipated draw for the ₹25 Crore Thiruvonam Bumper and launch the tickets for the ₹12 Crore Pooja Bumper 2025.
The special event, hosted by the Kerala State Lottery Department at Gorky Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram, is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM. State Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal will inaugurate the new lottery ticket sales and subsequently conduct the draw for the Thiruvonam Bumper.
The draw for the Thiruvonam Bumper (BR-105), which carries a colossal first prize of ₹25 Crore, will take place tomorrow afternoon. The drawing was originally scheduled for September 27 but was postponed to October 4 following requests from lottery agents, who cited disruptions in ticket sales due to heavy rainfall and adjustments related to GST rates.
The ticket for the Thiruvonam Bumper is priced at ₹500. Besides the grand prize, the lottery offers a second prize of ₹1 Crore each to 20 winners and a third prize of ₹50 Lakh each to 20 winners. According to the department, approximately 75 lakh tickets were sold for the Bumper this year, with Palakkad district recording the highest sales.
Adding to the excitement, the new Pooja Bumper (BR-106) lottery tickets will be officially launched during the same event.
The Pooja Bumper features a first prize of ₹12 Crore. Each ticket is priced at ₹300, and the lottery will be issued in five series. The bumper also includes other attractive prizes, such as a second prize of ₹1 Crore each for every series and a third prize of ₹5 Lakh each for 10 winners.
Ticket sales for the new bumper will commence immediately following the launch tomorrow, offering a fresh opportunity for participants to try their luck ahead of the upcoming festive season.
