Indian Adventurer Mann Sharma Sets New World Record in First-Ever Burpee Marathon

In a stunning display of human will and endurance, Indian athlete and social adventurer Mann Sharma has smashed the existing world record for the Longest Distance Burpee Broad Jumps on the third day of his unprecedented ‘Mann vs Burpees’ challenge at the Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium in New Delhi.

Sharma, who is attempting to complete a full marathon distance ( kilometres) entirely through burpee broad jumps, crossed the 5.1 kilometre mark, setting a new global benchmark in the endurance category. The previous record of km had remained unchallenged for years.

The monumental milestone was achieved just three days into the athlete’s ten-day ‘Burpee Marathon,’ which is recognized by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and organized to raise funds and awareness for the education of underprivileged children through The One Friend NGO.

“Breaking the record is not the finish line, it’s just the beginning of what we set out to do,” Mann Sharma stated after crossing the record mark. “Every metre, every burpee, is for the children whose dreams deserve a chance. This record belongs to everyone who believes that strength is not in muscle, but in meaning.”

Representatives from the World Book of Records are present at the venue to officially monitor and verify the attempt. The formal ratification of the new world record will take place at the conclusion of Mann Sharma’s marathon challenge.

The event continues to inspire spectators who gather daily at the JLN Stadium to witness the extreme test of mental and physical fortitude, as the athlete pushes towards his ultimate goal of completing the 42.195 km distance one burpee at a time.
