Gujarat’s Jain Community Makes History with ₹149.54 Crore Luxury Car Purchase Deal

In a striking display of collective bargaining power, members of Gujarat’s Jain community have collectively purchased 186 luxury cars worth a total of ₹149.54 crore, securing a massive discount of ₹21.22 crore through a single deal.

The bulk-buying initiative was spearheaded by the Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO), which leveraged its strong network to negotiate unprecedented terms with major automobile dealers, including brands like Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz.

The deal, which involved cars individually priced between ₹60 lakh and ₹1.34 crore, highlighted the financial acumen of the community, with a significant portion of the buyers hailing from Gujarat, particularly Ahmedabad.

Himanshu Shah, Vice-Chairman of JITO Apex, explained the strategy: “Community buying gives us power to bargain harder. Brands benefit from assured volumes and lower marketing costs, while members get significant savings. In this drive alone, members collectively saved ₹21.22 crore.”

On average, each member saved between ₹8 lakh and ₹17 lakh on their purchase, effectively turning the combined purchasing power of the community into a major financial advantage.

Encouraged by the overwhelming success of the luxury car deal, JITO has established a dedicated vertical for community purchasing. The organization is now planning to expand this bulk-buying model to other high-value sectors, including electronics, pharmaceuticals, and jewellery, to secure similar benefits for its 65,000 members across India.

This unique initiative is setting a new precedent for collective economic action, proving that community ties can translate directly into substantial financial benefits in the luxury market.
