Eric Carr Turns High School Passion for Drumming into World Records

Drummer and popular YouTube content creator Eric Carr (USA), known online as EMCproductions, has channeled his lifelong passion for percussion into a string of jaw-dropping achievements, claiming an astonishing 12 Guinness World Records titles.

Carr, who fell in love with drumming in high school, initially set out to find fresh ideas for his YouTube channel when he stumbled upon the idea of breaking a world record. That initial curiosity quickly snowballed into a record-breaking spree.

The competitive drummer from New Jersey has secured titles in various categories, demonstrating not just incredible speed and stamina, but also unique stick-handling skills.

His record haul includes feats such as:

  • Most drum beats using drumsticks in three minutes: An incredible 6,334 taps, shattering the previous record by nearly 1,000.
  • Most drumstick flips in one minute: A dizzying 128 flips.
  • Most drum beats with the hands in one minute: A rapid 1,342 beats.

“I am a very competitive person,” Carr confessed, noting that the mindset is “mandatory” when striving for a Guinness World Records title.

Carr, who also boasts an extensive background in competitive drum corps and a four-year contract with “The Commandant’s Own” US Marine Drum and Bugle Corps, leveraged his expertise to train. He focused heavily on consistency, using a metronome and gradually increasing his tempo to perfect his movements.

With 12 titles now to his name, Carr has issued a challenge to other drummers, saying, “I honestly think that most experienced drummers could break any of my records if they really put the time and commitment into it. I challenge you all to break my records!”
