India’s motorsports icon, Aishwarya Pissay, has once again made history by becoming the first Indian and Asian woman to complete the notoriously challenging Rallye du Maroc, while simultaneously securing a stunning Silver Medal in the overall 2025 FIM World Rally-Raid 2W Championship (W2RC).
The grueling Rallye du Maroc, the final round of the W2RC, is widely considered the ultimate test of endurance before the Dakar Rally. Competing on her TVS Racing machine in the Rally2 class, Pissay tackled over 2,299 km of unforgiving Moroccan desert, featuring immense sand dunes, rocky pistes, and complex navigation.
Pissay’s exceptional performance saw her finish first in the Women’s category at the Rallye du Maroc. This decisive result propelled her up the season standings, earning her the Silver Medal in the overall 2025 FIM World Rally-Raid 2W Championship. This marks the first time an Indian or Asian woman has achieved a podium finish in the prestigious World Rally-Raid Championship.
“Morocco tested everything—skill, endurance, and spirit. To finish this rally and secure a World Championship silver means everything to me,” said Aishwarya Pissay following her historic run. “It’s been years of hard work, sacrifice, and belief. I am incredibly proud to carry India and Asia on this global stage.”
The W2RC Silver adds another significant milestone to Aishwarya Pissay’s already decorated career, which includes four FIM World Titles/Podiums and eleven National Championships. Her journey is a testament to her perseverance as a privateer racer, demonstrating consistency and professionalism throughout the season with support from TVS Racing and her partners.
This achievement firmly cements Pissay’s position as India’s most successful female racer and an inspiration for aspiring motorsport athletes across Asia as she continues her rigorous preparation for the ultimate goal: the Dakar Rally.
