The Duppy Share and Reggae Land, two iconic UK brands, have teamed up to make rum history, officially setting a new Guinness World Records title for the “largest alcoholic punch.” The record-breaking concoction, a vibrant orange drink served in a massive oval glass, measured a staggering 1,025.189 litres (222.510 gallons), comfortably beating the minimum requirement of 1,000 litres.
The monumental feat took place at the annual Reggae Land festival in Milton Keynes, where thousands of festival-goers were able to get a taste of the historic drink. The punch, dubbed the “Duppy ‘Reggae Land’ Rum Punch,” was created to celebrate Caribbean culture and the spirit of the festival.
According to the Duppy Share founder, George Frost, “We’ve always believed rum punch is the ultimate sharing serve – and what better way to bring people together than with the biggest bowl of rum punch the world has ever seen? To break a world record in partnership with Reggae Land feels like a true celebration of the culture, spirit and joy of rum.”
The record-breaking recipe included a massive 332 bottles of Duppy White Rum, 750 litres of Tropical Vibes Fruit Punch, and juice from 800 freshly squeezed limes, among other ingredients. The event not only drew in a huge crowd but also cemented the Duppy Share’s place at the heart of the UK’s rum culture. The new record is a testament to the power of collaboration and a new way to celebrate a vibrant culture.
