Red Bull Converts 278-Foot Tower into World’s Tallest Skateboard Ramp

Red Bull has once again made a monumental splash in the world of extreme sports by building what is being called the world’s tallest skateboard ramp.

In a feat of engineering and adrenaline-fueled ambition, Red Bull constructed a massive 85-meter (278-foot) tall skateboard ramp directly onto the façade of a government building in Porto Alegre, Brazil. The building, known as the Administrative Center Fernando Ferrari (CAFF), had long been a local landmark and a source of playful speculation among skateboarders who joked about its curved design resembling a giant ramp. Red Bull turned this urban myth into a reality with their “Building Drop” project.

The immense structure now far surpasses the previous largest permanent skateboard ramp, which was located on Bob Burnquist’s farm. The daredevil to make the initial test runs on the vertical ramp was legendary Brazilian skateboarder Sandro “Mineirinho” Dias. Reaching speeds of up to 147 km/h (91 mph), the stunt pushed the boundaries of what is considered possible in the sport. Although the event took place without a live audience for safety and filming purposes, the footage has already created a global stir, celebrating the incredible fusion of architecture, extreme sports, and raw human courage
