Nepalese Hand-Walking Master Breaks Records with Gravity-Defying Skills

In a remarkable display of strength, balance, and agility, a Nepalese man with an uncanny knack for hand-walking has been shattering world records and earning global recognition for his unique talent. Hari Chandra Giri, a soldier in the Nepalese Army, is so good at walking on his hands that he can descend a set of stairs quicker than some people can on their feet.

Giri, who began hand-walking when he was just eight years old, has officially secured four Guinness World Records titles with his skills. His latest and most impressive feat came in March 2023 when he set the record for the fastest time to descend 75 stairs on the hands in just 25.03 seconds. This incredible achievement took place at the steps of the Buddhist temple Jamchen Vijaya Stupa, and it shaved over five seconds off the previous record.

Before that, Giri had already made a name for himself in the world of hand-walking. In 2021, he broke the record for the fastest time to descend 50 stairs on the hands, completing the challenge in a blistering 12.65 seconds.

Not content with just stairs, Giri also holds two records for speed and coordination on flat ground. In May 2022, he set two records in one day for the fastest 10 meters walking on hands with a football between the legs (4.49 seconds) and the fastest 50 meters walking on hands with a football between the legs (25.58 seconds).

Giri’s incredible journey from a curious child to a multiple world-record holder is a testament to his dedication and a source of immense pride for his country. He has expressed his desire to continue pushing the limits of what is possible, hoping to inspire others to pursue their own unique talents.
