Ganpati Idol in Udaipur Adorned with ₹21.51 Crore Currency Notes

In a magnificent display of devotion and philanthropy, a Ganesh idol in Udaipur has been adorned with an astounding ₹21.51 crore in currency notes, drawing crowds of devotees and onlookers. The idol, located in the Sunderwas area, is a central attraction of the ongoing Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.

The divine figure is decorated with a vibrant mosaic of Indian currency, ranging from ₹50, ₹100, and ₹200 notes to the new ₹500 notes. The idea for this unique and grand decoration came from the founder of a local trust, who wanted to make a record-breaking offering to the deity. The initiative also aims to promote community engagement and goodwill, as the entire amount, collected from donations and contributions, will be utilized for social welfare projects after the festival.

A team of security personnel from the Rajasthan Police has been deployed to ensure the safety of the pandal, which has become a magnet for visitors. The organizers have also put in place a robust security system, including CCTV cameras and a team of volunteers, to manage the massive influx of devotees coming to catch a glimpse of the idol.

While similar acts of devotion have been seen in other parts of India, this particular offering in Udaipur has set a new benchmark, not only for its sheer value but also for the underlying message of charity and community service. The idol, which is an awe-inspiring sight, is a powerful symbol of faith that brings together a celebration of culture, art, and compassion.
