In a historic display of rhythm and unity, the Washington, D.C.-based dance company Step Afrika! has officially set a new Guinness World Record for the largest stepping dance. The record-breaking performance took place on February 15 at the National Building Museum, where an impressive 268 dancers participated in a remarkable stepping class.
The event, which celebrated African American cultural heritage, was verified by a Guinness World Records Adjudicator who was present to witness the powerful and synchronized performance. The achievement not only showcases the talent and dedication of Step Afrika! but also highlights the cultural significance of stepping as a dynamic and expressive art form.
