Nigerian Musician Sets Trumpet World Record to Inspire Dreamers Worldwide

In a triumphant display of endurance and passion, Nigerian musician Joshua Olusanya has officially been certified by Guinness World Records for the longest marathon playing the trumpet. Known online as the “Trumpet Influencer,” Olusanya played for an astonishing 25 hours, 30 minutes, and 36 seconds, a feat that is inspiring a new generation of artists.

The record-breaking attempt took place at Terra Kulture in Lagos on May 9, 2025. It was Olusanya’s second time attempting the record, as a previous attempt was disqualified due to a technical error. He meticulously prepared for the challenge, adhering to the strict Guinness World Records guidelines to ensure a continuous performance.

Beyond the personal achievement, Olusanya’s motivation was to shine a spotlight on instrumental musicians, promote music education, and inspire people worldwide to chase their dreams. His marathon performance was livestreamed on YouTube, giving fans a front-row seat to his monumental effort.
