In a groundbreaking achievement for regional aviation innovation, Vietnam’s Airlios engineering team has set a new record by launching Southeast Asia’s first electric flying motorcycle, marking a pivotal moment in personal transportation technology.
The revolutionary vehicle, named Airlios Pegasus, showcases advanced aeronautical engineering in a compact and futuristic design. Measuring 1.9 meters in length, 1.15 meters in height, and with a wingspan of 2 meters, the electric flying motorcycle weighs 220 kg and is capable of carrying one person weighing up to 100 kg.
What truly sets the Pegasus apart is its performance. The flying bike reaches speeds of up to 100 km/h, flies up to 33 kilometers in just 20 minutes, and operates at altitudes of 120 meters or lower.
This innovation not only puts Vietnam on the map for cutting-edge aerial mobility but also represents a major stride toward sustainable and efficient urban transportation in densely populated cities across Southeast Asia.
The feat was officially confirmed on January 19, 2024, making it a historic milestone in the journey of electric aviation.
