Soc Son Waste-to-Energy Plant Sets Record as Indochina’s Largest Green Power Facility

The Soc Son Waste-to-Energy plant in Hanoi has officially been recognized as the largest waste-to-energy facility in Indochina, marking a major milestone in Southeast Asia’s sustainable development journey.

Equipped with five incinerators and three generator sets, the state-of-the-art facility features 16 specialized doors designed to accommodate various types of garbage trucks. With a massive daily processing capacity of 4,000 tons of solid refuse, the plant efficiently converts waste into 75 megawatts of electric power.

This cutting-edge infrastructure not only addresses Hanoi’s growing waste management challenges but also contributes significantly to Vietnam’s renewable energy goals. The achievement underscores the country’s commitment to eco-conscious innovation and regional leadership in waste-to-energy technology.
