Shri Babu Ram Yadav, a celebrated artist from Uttar Pradesh, has been awarded the prestigious Padma Shri in recognition of his significant contributions to the field of Art. Renowned for his exceptional talent across painting, sculpture, and folk artistry, Shri Yadav has been a guiding light in nurturing and preserving India’s rich artistic heritage.
Hailing from the cultural heartland of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yadav’s journey began in rural Kannauj district, where he first encountered traditional motifs like Madhubani and Pattachitra. Over the decades, he has woven these classical styles into contemporary canvases, blending indigenous folklore with modern sensibilities. His work—marked by vibrant hues, intricate detailing, and deep cultural symbolism—has been showcased in prestigious galleries across India and abroad.
Beyond his personal artistic achievements, Shri Babu Ram Yadav has been a dedicated mentor, conducting workshops and training programs for young and underprivileged artists.
