Veteran scholar, political thinker, and prolific author Shri Hriday Narayan Dixit has been awarded the Padma Shri 2025 in the category of Literature and Education, honouring his lifelong contribution to Indian philosophy, Vedic studies, journalism, and public life.
Hailing from Unnao district, Shri Dixit is a former Speaker of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly (2017–2022) and has been an influential figure in both politics and intellectual circles. He has authored more than 32 books and penned over 12,000 articles, with works focusing on themes such as Indian culture, Vedic wisdom, national values, and socio-political philosophy.
