Jio World Plaza Unveils the World’s Largest Passenger Elevator Designed by KONE

Mumbai, July 3, 2025 — Jio World Plaza at the prestigious Jio World Centre, Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai, has made history by unveiling the world’s largest passenger elevator, engineered by KONE India, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry.

This massive elevator, with a floor area of 25.78 square meters, is capable of carrying over 200 people at once. Weighing nearly 16 tonnes, it operates across five floors, setting new global standards in vertical mobility, crowd flow, and design innovation.
