Elisabeth Sets Guinness World Record for Most Breastmilk Donated by an Individual

July 2025 | USA – In a heartwarming display of compassion and endurance, Elisabeth Anderson-Sierra, a mother from Oregon, USA, has officially secured her place in the Guinness World Records for donating the most breastmilk by an individual.

Elisabeth, who experiences a rare condition known as hyperlactation syndrome—where the body produces an unusually large quantity of milk—has turned her condition into a mission to help others. Rather than waste the surplus milk her body produces daily, Elisabeth has spent years meticulously collecting, storing, and donating it to milk banks and families across the country in need of nutritional support for their infants.

To date, she has donated over 350,000 ounces (more than 2,700 gallons) of breastmilk, a contribution that has nourished thousands of premature and medically fragile babies. Her extraordinary commitment to donation, often pumping up to six times a day, has not only broken records but also inspired global awareness around the importance of breastmilk donation.

In receiving her Guinness World Record certificate, Elisabeth said, “My body may not stop producing milk, but I choose to see it as a gift. If I can save or support a life with what I have, there’s no better purpose.”

Her record-setting achievement is a testament to maternal strength, selflessness, and the powerful impact one individual can make on countless lives.
