Actor Ajith Kumar Awarded Padma Bhushan for Outstanding Contribution to Indian Cinema

Celebrated Tamil film star Shri Ajith Kumar has been conferred with the prestigious Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian award, for his distinguished service in the field of Art, particularly for his contributions to Indian cinema.

Fondly known as Thala by millions of fans, Ajith Kumar is one of the most revered figures in South Indian cinema. With a career spanning over 30 years and more than 60 films to his credit, he has captivated audiences with powerful performances in hits such as Amarkalam, Dheena, Villain, Varalaru, Billa, Mankatha, and Vedalam.
